Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds a Honorary Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is the Director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acknowledged for launching the modern science of the eyewitness memory of children and utilizing child victims to serve as witnesses in court. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with numerous publications and many grants to her name she is also the winner of numerous national and global distinctions. She has provided advice on policy and research for numerous government agencies and departments across the world. Additionally, she provides consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Professor Goodman is also a part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
